Earlier on Wednesday, the College Employer Council asked a mediator appointed by Queen’s Park to request the Ontario Public Service Employees Union to return to negotiations.

This comes as the College Student Alliance holds a rally in front of the provincial parliament in an effort to end the college faculty strike that has gone on since Oct 16 and to make clear that students will not be used as a “bargaining chip”.
