A massive 14 vehicle crash on Highway 400 Tuesday night that included two fuel tanker trucks sparked a fire that enveloped multiple cars and closed down all lanes of the highway between Country Rd 88 and Highway 89 in northern Ontario.

Reports indicate the crash was caused by a sudden slow down before it occurred in the northbound lanes just before 11:30 pm not far from Bradford, some 90 km north of Toronto.

Ontario Provincial Police Sergeant Kerry Schmidt said that were “multiple fatalities” in the crash, with a current death toll at two but it could rise as emergency services search burning vehicles.
