Protests against court jailing Catalan officials

All Post coverage on the Catalonia crisis

Mr Puigdemont is currently located in Belgium, where he fled to last week following the Spanish government stripping Catalonia of its autonomy after it declared independence.

The other ministers who did not answer the summoning of the court are with Puigdemont in Brussels.

The Belgian federal prosecutor previously said he would carry out the law in the case of a European arrest warrant.

When the Catalan Republic was declared on Oct 27 after a vote in the regional parliament, the Spanish high court summoned 12 members of the former regional government to Madrid.
