Patrick Brown broke a near two week silence on Tuesday afternoon by stating his support for women who come forward with allegations against sexual harassers and assailants.
Mr. Brown stated that while the “MeToo” movement can be “a tool to lift society”, untrue allegations “undermine that good work”.
The Member of Provincial Parliament for Simcoe North said that the “truth will come out.”
It was the first time he had posted on Twitter since resigning as leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario following anonymous allegations of sexual misconduct.
Brown thanked those that support him and his family in the wake of the accusations, which he vehemently denied before they were made in a CTV News Exclusive.
