A Russian airliner crashed soon after takeoff from Moscow’s Domodedovo airport on Sunday, killing all 71 onboard.

It is not clear what brought down the Saratov Airlines AN-148 jet after it crashed by the village of Argunovo, about 80 km southeast of the capital.

Investigations have begun with authorities looking at all possibilities, according Reuters news agency.

President Vladimir Putin offered condolences to the families of those killed, an ordered a special investigation.
