IGNITE Student Life changed the name of the event, but the Candidates, or Elections Forum, is a chance for students to witness presentations, watch a leadership debate and ask questions in person or via social media.

“Get all the facts and make an informed decision about who you want representing you on campus next year,” the event description reads on the IGNITE website.

The forum for those candidates involved in the University of Guelph-Humber-related races is set for 11:00 a.m. in GH303 where the Board of Directors, vice president of GH and IGNITE president will be present.

IGNITE changes forum date after Post report

IGNITE does not list the time or room number on the forum information page, but the Post has learned of the direct times from a student life tweet and the room number from candidates.

Apparently issues over what room the forum could be held in at Guelph-Humber slowed the confirmation time for the forum event.

However, IGNITE Student Life only confirmed the correct date and time on Tuesday after a Post report on Monday that pointed out an incorrect date listing and cited concerns from those running for elected positions.

Several candidates did not know of the finalized forum time until the Post reported on the IGNITE tweet.

Those not present in person can watch the forum via IGNITE’s Facebook and ask questions by commenting or tweeting.
