Albert Wong has been named as the suspect in the California veterans’ home hostage crisis that occurred in the United States on Saturday, and was a former patient there, according to authorities. 

Wong, 36, who died at the scene, is accused of taking three women at gunpoint for over six hours.

Police discovered the bodies of the suspect and three woman in a room at The Pathway Home late that evening.

The hostage-taker entered the building while employees were holding a party as a leaving celebration for some of their colleagues, according to authorities.
