The Academic Reform Group on Thursday night said they wish to meet with Dr. Masood Zangeneh, the professor central to a grading investigation carried out by The Avro Post and the reform group.

In their statement released at 8:30 p.m., ARG also thanked the students who came forward in the investigation with grades and testimonials.

Several students have shared their varying experience regarding Dr. Zangeneh’s teaching methods. Shaila Anjum believes that there are things to be improved, “but other allegations have no validity.

“Masood definitely is not the best at communication, but to say he is an unfair marker or poor professor who does not care for his students is mind boggling.”

The Academic Reform Group has addressed these statements saying they “in no way, want to tarnish the character of any professors of the University of Guelph Humber.”

They aim to instead “represent all students at the University of Guelph-Humber,” and “work towards the overall improvement” of the university.

ARG has offered to meet with Dr. Zangeneh to discuss the concerns raised by students and welcomes the opportunity represent all varying opinions.

As the Academic Reform Group works towards the improvement of the University of Guelph Humber, they welcome all contributions to help their cause.
