Early on Wednesday morning, Austin police confirmed the death of a suspected serial bomber, allegedly responsible for five bombings this month killing two people and injuring four others in the United States.

The suspect blew himself up by detonating a bomb inside of his car while being approached by SWAT team.

Little is known about the suspect, only that he is a 24 year old white male.

The suspect was identified within the past day and a half, police tracking him down in a hotel parking lot in Round Rock, Texas.

One officer suffered injuries due to the blast, but only the suspect was killed.

Police are still investigating a possible motive for the bombings.

UPDATE: Associated Press reports suspect has been identified as Mark Anthony Conditt.
