According to a recent study by the Angus Reid Institute, Justin Trudeau’s approval rating is at 40%, the lowest it’s been since the Liberal prime minister’s election win in 2015.

The study also found that if federal elections were held tomorrow, 40% of Canadians would vote for Andrew Scheer’s Conservatives with only 30% of Canadians voting Liberal, and 20% voting for the New Democrats.

This study comes shortly after Trudeau’s recent trip to India which faced heavy criticism from the press.

The study also found that Conservative Party of Canada leader Andrew Scheer is seen as a better economic leader than Trudeau.

However, a majority of respondents said that Trudeau would be a better choice for prime minister than Scheer.

The Canadian federal elections will be held in October, 2019.
