Elizabeth May arrested in B.C.

Green Party leader Elizabeth May was arrested for trespassing by RCMP in Burnaby, British Columbia during a protest of a pipeline extension.

Friday, federal Green Party leader Elizabeth May was arrested by RCMP in Burnaby, British Columbia. 

May was arrested for trespassing while protesting the construction of a new pipeline extension.

Green Party MP Kennedy Stuart was also arrested for trespassing on the worksite.

Green Party of Canada has launched a petition to free May on their website.
