Police in California responded to and investigated a blast at a Sam’s Club in Ontario Thursday afternoon, where a suspect detonated a small explosive device inside the United States franchise store. 

“There appears to be no structural damage of any injuries at this point,” Ontario Police tweeted, saying that “all employees and customers are accounted for.”

The suspect, who triggered the “explosive device” around 2 p.m. local time, was brought into custody at the scene.

A second device was later discovered in the suspect’s vehicle and a home is was searched in connection with the investigation.

A motive has not been identified.
