Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a press conference on Monday unveiling proof that Iran has been developing nuclear weapons.
In a top-secret mission, Israeli special forces raided a compound in Tehran that held nearly 100,000 files and 55,000 pages showing Iran’s nuclear program being used to develop weapons of mass destruction.
By developing nuclear weapons, Iran is violating a 2015 agreement with the U.S. that allowed Iran to continue their nuclear program as long as they weren’t using it to develop nukes.
Netanyahu described Iran’s weapons as “five Hiroshima bombs […] put on ballistic missiles.”
Netanyahu says that Israel has shared the materials with the U.S. and that they “can vouch for its authenticity.” The Israeli Prime Minister urged President Trump to “do the right thing” on May 12, when the Iran nuclear deal expires.
