There have been many reports of flooding and power outages today when the GTA was hit with a flash storm today around 4:30 p.m.

The storm lasted about 20 to 30 minutes. Environment Canada released a severe thunderstorm warning which ended around 5:00 p.m.

Many social media users uploaded photos of fallen trees, traffic lights and floods with the hashtag, #ONStorm.

A fallen tree caused a temporary street closure on a part of Bay Street.
