ISIS has claimed responsibility for Sunday’s terrorist attack in Toronto’s Greektown that left two dead and 13 injured.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the Islamic State claims the shooter “was a soldier of ISIS.”
Faisal Hussain, 29, opened fire on groups of pedestrians on Danforth Avenue in Toronto on Sunday night.
Hussain killed an 18-year-old woman and a 10-year-old girl, injuring 13 more.
Hussain was reported to have had a plethora of mental health problems and had explicitly expressed his support for the Islamic State.
Hussain was also found to have visited ISIS websites before carrying out the attack.
