The Toronto Raptors finished 3-1 in pre-season against NBA opposition after they defeated the New Orleans Pelicans on Thursday night.
The Raptors scored an average of 33.5 points over four quarters as they defeated the Pelicans by a score of 134-119. Toronto’s starting five and a couple other players did not play in this game due to playing the night before. Pascal Siakam and Malachi Richardson scored 21 points each while Kay Felder and OG Anunoby both scored 15. Siakam recorded a double-double by grabbing 11 boards to go along with his 21 points.
Siakam is continuing to prove his role on this squad, although he comes off the bench, he is showing qualities of a starter. Malachi Richardson will also look to prove himself throughout the season, although he may sign a two-way deal between the Raptors and their G-league affiliate Raptors 905.
The Toronto Raptors open their regular season at home against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday with tip-off set for 7:30 p.m.
