The Toronto Raptors beat the Charlotte Hornets on Monday night by a score of 127-106 at Scotiabank Arena.
It was a game of reunions for a few during Monday night’s contest, as former Toronto Raptor Bismack Biyombo came to town with the Charlotte Hornets. New Hornet Tony Parker caught up with former teammates Danny Green and Kawhi Leonard before the game.
Toronto controlled the entire game, creating a sizeable lead for themselves in the first half. Kawhi Leonard lead Raptors scoring yet again with 22 points. Considerable contributions came from Valanciunas with 17 points and 10 rebounds, Green and Lowry with 16 each, and Ibaka with 15. Lowry also finished with 14 assists.
Kemba Walker lead Charlotte with 26 points, but was not enough, as they will look for others to lighten his load during the season. Bismack Biyombo didn’t come into the game until early in the fourth quarter, but was applauded by Raptors fans when he checked in. Biyombo was known for his defensive ability on the court, and his selflessness off the court when being interviewed after games.
Norman Powell only scored nine points, but two of those nine came from this powerful dunk.
Every Raptor that played yesterday scored points, including Greg Monroe, who made his regular season debut.
Toronto is currently 4-0 and will look to continue their winning ways on Wednesday when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
