The Toronto Raptors defeated the Phoenix Suns by a score of 107-98 at Talking Stick Resort Arena on Friday night.
Kyle Lowry recorded his sixth double-double of the season by scoring 11 points and providing 12 assists. Kawhi Leonard finished with 19 points before leaving the game late in the fourth quarter with a jammed foot. Serge Ibaka scored 14 points off the bench.
The Suns were looking for just their second win of the season, contributions from Isiah Canaan, Devin Booker, and rookie DeAndre Ayton were not enough. Ayton grabbed 18 rebounds and scored 17 points, while Canaan and Booker scored 19 and 18 respectively.
Kyle Lowry continues to show his quality on both ends of the floor and that he wants to win, no matter who his teammates are.
Kawhi Leonard participated in practice at UCLA with the rest of the team as they get ready to face Lebron James and the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday night at Staples Center. Tip-off is set for 9:30 p.m.
