Danny Green gave the Toronto Raptors the win by hitting a mid-range shot with 2.3 seconds left in the game to defeat the Orlando Magic by a score of 93-91.
This was a very defensive oriented game, as the Magic held the Raptors to under 100 points for the first time this season.
Kawhi Leonard lead Toronto scorers with 18 points, Siakam scored 15 and grabbed nine rebounds, Serge Ibaka scored 14 points against his former team and also grabbed nine rebounds. Danny Green scored 13.
Orlando has multiple players that are very efficient on the offensive side, like Evan Fournier who lead scorers with 27 points. Aaron Gordon scored 16, while Nikola Vučević scored 14 points and collected 18 rebounds.
The Raptors lead at half 47-37, but the Magic clawed back in the third quarter, and took the lead going into the fourth, 75-73.
Both teams had similar numbers in terms of field goal percentage, three-point percentage, and turnovers. The Raptors went 44% from the field, 26% from three, and had 16 turnovers. The Magic went 40% from the field, also 26% from three, and had 14 turnovers.
It is fitting that Danny Green scored the opening and the final points of the game.
Kawhi Leonard had opportunity in previous games to convert game-winners, but this time the ball fell to Danny Green who proved his veteran ability.
Toronto finishes their road trip in Atlanta on Wednesday night as they take on the Hawks at State Farm Arena. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
