The Toronto Raptors could not shoot themselves out of their slump on Friday night as they were defeated by the Orlando Magic, 116-87.
Kawhi Leonard lead Raptors scoring with 21 points, Serge Ibaka scored 17 and grabbed eight rebounds. Fred VanVleet shot 3-12 from the field and finished with 11 points.
Toronto made just 28 shots on the night, shooting a measly 29.5% from the field.
Nikola Vučević recorded a double-double as he scored 30 points and grabbed 20 rebounds. Short-tenured Raptor D.J. Augustin scored 17 points and provided six assists. Former long-serving Raptor Terrence Ross came off the bench to score 14 points.
Magic rookie Jonathan Isaac went 3-5 from three point range, and also finished with 14 points.
The Raptors could not contain Vučević, who his light on his feet for a centre. Jonas Valanciunas would have been a better matchup against Vučević as opposed to Serge Ibaka who is quicker, but shorter.
One bright spot for Toronto was Canadian Chris Boucher who saw only nine minutes, but scored nine points, all coming from three-pointers.
Boucher was assigned to Raptors 905 along with Malachi Richardson for their game on Saturday afternoon against the Maine Red Claws which they lost.
The Raptors return home to Scotiabank Arena to play against the Chicago Bulls on Sunday evening. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
