Two men were arrested and charged for attempted murder after shooting and injuring two others in Toronto’s east-end.
Police were called around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday to the intersection of Woodbine Avenue and Queen Street East after gunshots were heard nearby.
The two gunmen were arrested moments after police arrived. Their firearms were seized and shell casings were found in the surrounding area.
The two victims are both men believed to be in their 20s, and were found conscious and breathing with multiple gunshot wounds.
They were taken to hospital by paramedics and are both expected to live.
Toronto has been experiencing a recent wave in gun violence with 96 homicides in 2018, 51 of them being shootings.
