This is our weekly roundup of what we consider the top events that are happening at the University of Guelph-Humber/Humber College North Campus. All events on campus are free unless stated otherwise. 

Monday, Jan. 21

Career options in Early Childhood Studies

Calling all Guelph-Humber ECS students! This session will provide students with information on the different career paths their degree can take them. ECS alumni will also be present to answer questions and share their own experiences. If you can’t make it to this session there will be another one held on January 23 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. in GH 325.

GHBC Leadership workshop

The Guelph-Humber Business Council will be hosting a leadership workshop for all students looking to learn about group dynamics and leading strategies.

Post-grad rehab sciences

There will be an information session for students interested in a post-graduate study for physiotherapy, occupational therapy, chiropractic treatment, speech and language, pathology and audiology.

Hot Chocolate Bar at Library Services

The Library Services at GH invites all students to enjoy a hot chocolate and sweet treats while getting to know the research support peers and learning more about their services. The Hot Chocolate bar will also be open on January 23 9:50 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. and 1:25 p.m. – 2:25 p.m.

Wednesday, Jan. 23

Media summer internship session

This information session is for third-year media students interested in completing their internship this summer. Students will be able to learn about their resources in finding internships, getting approved, the requirements needed and much more. Students that are unable to attend can attend the session on January 24 from 4:10 p.m. to 5:10 p.m.

Time: 11:40 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

GHAMA Members Meeting

The Guelph-Humber Advertising and Marketing Association will be hosting a Members Meeting for any students interested in learning more about the society and how to get involved. There will be a second meeting held on January 25 at 6 p.m.

Thursday, Jan. 24

Psychology placement session

All second-year psychology students are invited to this session on learning how to best complete their mandatory placement for Winter 2020. This session is divided into three workshops beginning January 24, January 31 and February 7.

WIBS Winter launch

The Women in Business Society will be hosting a Winter launch event for students to learn more about the society and network with other women interested in business.
