A group of fourth year students heard about their graduation ceremony dates via the University of Guelph-Humber’s social media over the weekend, while others were sent an email.

The University of Guelph-Humber Students page published the dates in a Sunday afternoon Facebook post, marking the day for ceremonies as June 17. Specific times will be announced at the end of March.

“I definitely don’t remember seeing an email,” one student commented on Facebook, adding that they had come across the dates on social media.

However, a Justice Studies student said those enrolled in her program received an email in September with the ceremonies date. It has also been posted on the Guelph-Humber website since last year.

The Avro Post has reached out to the university for comment on why some students said they did not receive an email, while others did.

More details to follow.
