CPA Workshop: Top 5 mistakes start-ups make

If you’re interested in starting up your own business this workshop might be for you. A representative from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA) will teach students about business taxes, cash flow and business planning.

This seminar will teach students how to market themselves and learn how to brand themselves in order to stand out when applying for jobs.

Bell Let’s Talk Day

Guelph Humber will host a Bell Let’s Talk event where there will be a banner signing in support of mental health, a discussion wall and selfie station where students can also make donations to the Bell mental health initiatives. There will also be a Humber Mental Health Dialogue event at the LRC at 10 a.m.

Professional connections

There will be employment and graduate school recruiters at the GH atrium ready to connect with students and discuss career opportunities.

Open mic night

IGNITE will be hosting an open mic night at Humber Lakeshore where students will be able to showcase their talents. There will also be light snacks and refreshments provided.
