IGNITE has been hyping up the next Real Talks event happening Thursday featuring TMZ journalist Van Lathan, and hosted by Canadian entertainment personality Matte Babel, currently an ET Canada correspondent.

Doors open at 11:30 a.m. for the event starting at 12:45 p.m. in the Humber College North Campus Student Centre — and is open to any Humber or University of Guelph-Humber student on a first-come, first-served basis.

The event page says the Real Talks will focus on Lathan and “how he got started in the entertainment business, his journey to success, as well as race in American and the impact President Trump has had on marginalized communities.”

“Van Lathan will also get real and discuss several of the hurdles he’s faced in his personal life including anxiety, depression and an eating disorder.”

The first 50 individuals that get the free tickets will be given a wristband to attend a “meet [and] greet” with Lathan, who first went viral when he confronted Kanye West over controversial comments he made at TMZ about African-Americans and slavery.
