Black History Month Movie Night

GH Student life will be partnering with the Black Academic Success & Engagement (BASE) will be hosting a movie night for students in celebration of Black History Month. The film that will be featured is Hidden Figures starring Taraji P. Henson, Viola Davis and Janelle Monae. Hidden Figures tells the true story of Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson and how their work in the NASA space program made American history.

Time: 5:15 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Wednesday, Feb 13

IGNITE Elections Mix & Mingle

IGNITE will be hosting a mix and mingle event for students to connect with the candidates for the IGNITE elections. This event will be happening at Lakeshore, Guelph-Humber and Humber North locations.

Time: 12 p.m. – 3 p.m.

Location: North Campus Student Centre, Lakeshore K Building Student Centre

Thursday, Feb 14

One Billion Rising

One Billion Rising is a female empowering event in the fight against oppressive systems and gender-based violence. Hosted by the Consent Peer Education Program this event will include a dance workshop, activities, and resources table.

Time: 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
