This is our weekly round up of what we consider the top events that are happening at the University of Guelph-Humber/Humber College North Campus. All events on campus are free unless stated otherwise. 

Tuesday, Mar 19

EMERGE 2019: Through Media to Justice

This event hosted by a team of 4th year media student will discuss the importance the media plays in achieving justice and challenging social norms. This event will feature guest speakers who are experts in the topic.

Time: 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Location: Humber North Campus, Seventh Semester Room K-B

GHAMA: Online Professional Seminar

The Guelph Humber Advertising and Marketing Association will be hosting a seminar on how to build a LinkedIn profile. This event will be host by GH alumnus and Humber Career and Placement Portal Project Manager, Ashvini Sriharan.

Wednesday, Mar 20

Take a Paws

Take a Paws is back to help students de-stress during this exam season. Student need to register for a 15 minute time slot with the dogs. There is also another session on March 21st from 3 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Time: 9:30 a.m. – 11:10 a.m.

4 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

GHAMA: LinkedIn Photoshoot

Book your time slot today for a LinkedIn photoshoot, there will be sessions of creative shots and professional head shots. Creative shots will be held on March 19th and professional head shots will take place on March 20th.

KinSoc: Speech pathology and Occupational therapy info session

The Kinesiology society will be hosting a information session for students for a career in speech pathology or occupational therapy.

Thursday, Mar 21

International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination

Humber North and the Centre for Human Rights, Equity and Diversity will be hosting this event that will feature fusion of music and dance of India and Pakistan, Bhangra.

Time: 12 p.m. – 12 :45 p.m.
