Students may soon have a new cloud experience on campus and those taking classes at the new Barrett Centre for Technology Innovation may get to use an Echo-controlled fully autonomous race car, thanks to a new partnership between Humber College and Amazon.

“This new strategic relationship aims to address the skills gap, broaden academic delivery, increase program options and enhance technology and innovation across the college,” a press release on Oct. 3 from the college said.

The collaboration will include Amazon Web Services, Inc. providing infrastructure services in the cloud in support of Humber’s larger cloud strategy. The college will also join Amazon’s education initiative, AWS Academy, and become an official testing centre.
