Intro

The Avro Post is dedicated to producing breaking, developing and in-depth stories that are unbiased, accurate and newsworthy.

History

The Guelph-Humber Post was launched on Oct. 16, 2017 by founding editor Eli Ridder, in response to the lack of a student publication for the University of Guelph-Humber reporting on the college faculty strike that started on the same date.

Thousands across Ontario read articles on the strike as well as several exclusives for the province and on campus, and the team grew as students at Guelph-Humber joined up to practice their skills and serve their peers with the latest information.

On March 9 of 2018, the Post rebranded to The Avro Post after a months-long process of deciding a name and designing a brand.

The Post continues to serve as a serious news source for students interested in the campus, city around them, Canada and the world.
