Founder and Editor-in-Chief
Eli is the founder and editor-in-chief of The Avro Post. He created The Post in October 2017 due to a lack of coverage of the University of Guelph-Humber during the college faculty strike.
“There were stories that needed to be told and, with the experience I already had, I knew that now was the time for me to give launching a student publication a shot.”
Ridder is from Guelph, ON and his favourite movie is Star Wars: A New Hope. He has managed several independent news media teams since September 2016 and written over 1000 news articles across multiple publications including The New Union, Atlas News, Nova News, The Anon Journal, the Ribbon, Berning Media Network and more.
Ridder is currently a student at Humber College in the Advanced Journalism Program on North Campus, starting in September 2019. He was previously enrolled in the University of Guelph-Humber Media Studies program with a specialization in Journalism.
